Las Aves ‘Antistar’

10/05/2017

Hot on the heels of the UK release of the Die In Shangai album, Parisian trio Las Aves have released a new single and video ‘Antistar‘, written while they were on tour. The song denounces sexism in the music industry, of which Géraldine Baux had been a victim, delivering a message of independence and freedom for women. The video is directed by Vik+ Kev, (Victoria Hespe of The Pirouettes and the film maker Kevin Elamrani-Lince) and shows Las Aves’ members refusing to dance (‘if I don’t want to dance I will not’) while everybody around them does.

The band will be at The Waiting Room in London on 19th May and at The Great Escape in Brighton on 20th May.
