Deena Abdelwahed 'Khonnar' - Oui Love - New French Music

Deena Abdelwahed ‘Khonnar’

Deena Abdelwahed’s first album is shifting the epicenter of contemporary electronic music south. Pronounced “ronnar”, Khonnar is an untranslatable term that evokes the dark, shameful and disturbing side of things, the kind of atmosphere that the young Tunisian producer cultivates, marrying industrial noises and abrasive, cavernous techno.

The album is a futuristic manifesto for a generation that does not seek to please or to conform, taking back control of its identity.

Khonnar is out now on InFiné Records.
