10LEC6 ‘Bone Bame’

The new album from Paris-based group 10LEC6 – centred on the collaboration between street artist Simon and DJ/producer Jess from French DJ duo Jess & Crabbe – is now out on French DJ Pedro Winter’s legendary label Ed Banger.

On Bone Bame they are joined by Nicole, a trained gospel singer who also raps in Bulu (a Bantou dialect spoken in the South of Cameroon), and they have coined the term ‘bulu punk’ to describe their singular sound.

The band are as much inspired by the punk-funk of NYC legends like ESG, or The Slits, as they are by house, disco and afro-electro. It’s a heady, transcendental brew that will shake you to you core.
